Rahim Hasanov, the chairman of the AFFA Referees Committee, has commented on the controversial incident during the Misli Premier League match between Turan Tovuz and Shamakhi.

According to a statement from the national association's press service, Hasanov stated that there was no clear evidence to confirm that the ball crossed the goal line following the home team's penalty kick. He remarked, "In this case, there is no need for VAR intervention, and it is correct to uphold the referee's initial decision on the field."

It is worth noting that the match ended in a goalless draw.
