Sabah's head coach Valdas Dambrauskas is confident that his team will secure victory against Hapoel in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off.
According to Offsideplus.az, the specialist stated at a press conference before the match that the team has learned from the mistakes made in the first leg.
Dambrauskas noted that it is possible to view the upcoming match as a continuation of the first encounter: "We will continue from where we left off in Bucharest. We have drawn conclusions from the mistakes we made in that match. Currently, we are one goal behind. I want to tell our fans that we are ready. I believe we will win tomorrow."
The coach also touched upon his experience in participating in the group stages of European competitions, emphasising that he will leverage this experience to help the team progress to the next round: "I have previously qualified for the league stage. I will try to do it again using my experience. I think we are in a good position right now. Some teams that started in the second and third qualifying rounds were unable to achieve this. The current score of 1-0 is in favour of the opponent, and they will try to take advantage of this lead. We have analysed the opponent. My entire focus is on tomorrow's game."
It is worth noting that the match between Sabah and Hapoel will take place on August 25 at 20:45 at the Tofiq Bahramov Republican Stadium. In the first leg in Bucharest, the Israeli side won 2-1.
