The selection process for the national team that will represent Azerbaijan at the first U-15 World Championship and festival, to be held in the country, is progressing rapidly.
According to Offsideplus.az, the three-day selection tournament organised by the AFFA featured clubs that finished in the top seven of last season, along with Turan Tovuz and Kəpəz.
The winner of the tournament, held under the supervision of AFFA's technical director Edmond Klaus and the Coaches Committee, was Neftchi. Sabah finished in second place, while Qarabag secured third.
In the next stage, other clubs will also be involved in the process. These clubs will present their most promising three players born in 2011 and 2012 for selection on August 28-29.
It is noteworthy that the U-15 World Championship and festival will take place in Baku from October 22 to 31.
