"I am thrilled to keep my winning streak alive."

Azerbaijani MMA fighter Emil Musayev shared these remarks in an exclusive interview with Offsideplus.az.

Reflecting on his recent victory over Uzbekistan's Javoxir Nazrulloyev at the RCC tournament a few days ago, Musayev said:

"I believe this was my fifth consecutive win. Of course, knowing my potential, I feel I could have delivered an even better performance, but an injury held me back. Overall, however, I am completely satisfied with the fight. I executed all my plans. The preparation was grueling but top-tier. I trained at my camp under the leadership of team captain Ivan Shtyrkov and my head coach Georgy Tamoyev."

Musayev also expressed his gratitude toward his opponent, who stepped in on short notice:

"Regarding my opponent, I have nothing but respect for him because he accepted the fight at the last minute. Originally, I was supposed to face a different athlete, but there were issues with his arrival. I am grateful to Nazrulloyev for stepping up and ensuring the fight went ahead."

Looking ahead, Musayev discussed his next steps:

"I’ll take a short break to recover and then get right back into training. My goals remain the same: to become the best version of myself every single day. I am currently in great shape and focused on maintaining this momentum."
