The AFFA Disciplinary Committee has fined both clubs following the incidents during the Matchday 28 fixture of the Misli Premier League between Zira and Neftchi.
Offsideplus.az reports that the heaviest penalty was imposed on Neftchi, with total fines amounting to 26,200 AZN. The capital club's head coach, Yuriy Vernidub, and his assistant, Dmytro Kara-Mustafa, were each handed a one-match touchline ban for protesting refereeing decisions, resulting in a 5,000 AZN fine per coach. Additionally, player Breno Almeida received a one-match suspension and a 3,000 AZN fine for a red card. Mass insults directed at the officials by "the Whites and Blacks" fans, along with throwing objects onto the pitch, added a further 12,500 AZN to the club's financial penalty.
Zira was fined a total of 5,700 AZN for disciplinary breaches. The home side's coach, Aghabala Ramazanov, was sent off for violating technical area regulations and received a one-match disqualification.
