"Two real title contenders will face off".

Former Neftchi head coach Samir Abasov shared these views in an exclusive statement to Offsideplus.az. The specialist commented on the upcoming match between Qarabag and Sabah in the 22nd round of the Misli Premier League:

"Indeed, it will be one of the most highly anticipated games of recent years. It is a very significant match for both teams. Nevertheless, this encounter should not be treated as the final decider. Both sides could drop points in the upcoming rounds. The struggle will continue until the very last matchday. If Sabah defeats Qarabag, they will truly get into the championship spirit, and it will be difficult to stop them. Both sides have high chances, but overall, I see Qarabag as slightly superior."

Abasov also addressed the potential impact of Qarabag's fatigue following their match against Newcastle on the game with Sabah:

"Those saying this are just talking nonsense. No one can accurately say whether Qarabag is tired except for the coaching staff and the players themselves. When a player steps onto the field for such a crucial game, only those within the football world can understand to what extent fatigue plays a role."

The specialist, who parted ways with Neftchi in November of last year, also mentioned that he has not received any new offers at the moment.

It should be noted that the match will take place on March 1 at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium, kicking off at 19:00.
