The Misli Premier League could be on the verge of setting a new record for the most draws in a single season.
As Offsideplus.az reports, three matches in Round 33 ended in draws: “Shamakhi” vs. “Sabail” (1–1), “Araz-Nakhchivan” vs. “Sabah” (1–1), and “Neftçi” vs. “Kəpəz” (2–2).
With these results, the total number of draws in the current season has reached 49 — the highest in the past 11 seasons, surpassing the 47 draws recorded in the 2015/16 campaign.
The all-time record for most draws in a single Misli Premier League season stands at 50, set during the 2013/14 season. With three rounds still remaining, it is likely that the current campaign will break that record.
It’s also worth noting that “Sabah” has registered the most draws this season, sharing the points on 17 occasions.
