The next tournament in the Azerbaijan Chess Tour series has drawn to a close.

According to Offsideplus.az, the winners of the Vugar Gashimov Open 2026 international tournament have been determined.

Competing in Group A, Tunar Davudov claimed the championship title with 7.5 points. Loghman Guliyev, who finished with the same number of points, secured second place based on tiebreak criteria. Vugar Manafov completed the top three with 7 points to his name.

As part of the festival program, Murad Ibrahimli emerged victorious in the rapid event, while Rustam Rustamov took top honors in the blitz tournament. During the closing ceremony, the winners and medalists were presented with medals, diplomas, and monetary prizes.

It should be noted that the next stage of the Azerbaijan Chess Tour will be the Guba Open, scheduled to take place from September 3 to 10.
