The Individual European Women's Chess Championship continues in Batumi, Georgia, with 11 players representing Azerbaijan.

Offsideplus.az reports that after the second round, reigning champion Ulviyya Fataliyeva leads the tournament with 2 points after securing another victory. Alongside her, Narmin Abdinova and Maryam Alaverdiyeva also won their matches in this round.

Meanwhile, Gunay Mammadzada, Govhar Beydullayeva, Turkan Mammadyarova, Zeinab Mammadyarova, and Lala Huseynova drew their games, while Gulnar Mammadova, Sabina Ibrahimova, and Melek Ismail suffered defeats.

The 11-round Swiss system tournament features 166 chess players and will conclude on June 5.
