Azerbaijan's women's chess players are set to test their strength at the European Women's Individual Chess Championship to be held in Batumi, Georgia.
According to Offsideplus.az, citing the Azerbaijan Chess Federation, our country will be represented by 12 players at the continental tournament.
The squad includes Ulviyya Fatalieva, Gunay Mammadzada, Govhar Beydullayeva, Gulnar Mammadova, Ayan Allahverdiyeva, Turkan Mammadyarova, Sabina Ibrahimova, Zeinab Mammadyarova, Maryam Agaverdiyeva, Malak Ismayil, Lala Huseynova, and Narmin Abdinova.
The European Championship, which kicks off on May 24 and runs until June 6, will consist of 11 rounds played under the Swiss system. The total prize fund for the tournament stands at 60,000 euros.
