Two more Azerbaijani boxers have secured victories at the World Cup being held in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.
Offsideplus.az reports that on the second day of the ranking tournament, Zidan Hunbatov (55 kg) eliminated Agustin Susloaga of Uruguay in the round of 32 with a decisive 5:0 win (30:27, 30:27, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27). He is set to face Spain's Rafael Lozano Serrano in his next bout on April 23.
Mahammad Abdullayev (+90 kg) also made a successful start to his World Cup campaign. He defeated Poland's Jakub Domurad 5:0 (30:27, 30:27, 29:28, 30:27, 29:28) in the round of 16. Abdullayev will return to the ring on April 24 to face Luka Pratljacic of Croatia.
The World Cup is scheduled to conclude on April 26. Earlier in the tournament, Nabi Isgandarov (70 kg) also advanced by defeating his opponent.
