The European Championship held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, concluded today.

Offsideplus.az reports that on the last day of the competition, three members of the Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestling team, Nihat Mammadli, Hasrat Jafarov and Gurban Gurbanov, became champions.

Ulvi Ganizadeh added a "bronze" to his medal collection.

60 kg, FINAL: Nihat Mammadli - Georgi Tibilov (Serbia) 7:3

Our wrestler defeated his opponent with a score of 7:3 and became the European champion for the second time.

67 kg, FINAL: Hasrat Jafarov - Abu Muslim Amayev (Bulgaria) 7:1

Our 22-year-old wrestler experienced the joy of becoming the European champion for the third time in his career.

82 kg, FINAL: Gurban Gurbanov - Erik Szilvassi (Hungary) 6:0

Gurban Gurbanov defeated his opponent 6:0 in the final and became the European champion.

72 kg, bronze medal: Ulvi Ganizade - Aliaksandr Liavonchik (UWW) 2:1

Ulvi defeated his opponent 2:1 and became the third in Europe.

It should be noted that the Azerbaijani national team, which participated in the European Championship with 24 wrestlers, has 9 medals (1 gold, 2 silver, 6 bronze) on the eve of the final matches.
