"My first impression of Baku was formed 7-8 years ago when I visited here as a tourist," said Mindauqas Susinskas, the new basketball player for Sabah, in an interview with Offsideplus.az.

The Lithuanian forward spoke about his transfer: "I knew the city was beautiful, and I was very excited when this offer came. However, now Baku looks more beautiful and more developed than I remembered from my first visit. I spent my first days adapting to the city and the new culture, discovering shops, food, and other daily life details."

Mindauqas emphasised that there are good players in the team: "I believe that not only my goal but the entire team's main aim and ambition is to become the champion of Azerbaijan again, to win the Azerbaijan Cup, and to perform as successfully as possible in the Champions League. I think we have a group of very good players. If we work hard and play together, I believe we can achieve our goals.

I am very happy to be facing a team from Lithuania. At the same time, I think our group is quite challenging. But we will go out and fight as hard as we can to reach our objectives."

It is worth noting that the 204 cm tall forward has played for Alytaus Dzūkija, Prienai, NINERS Chemnitz, and most recently, Spain's Bàsquet Girona during his career.
