Offsideplus.az reports that these words were spoken by Qarabağ player Joni Montiel during the press conference ahead of the UEFA Champions League play-off second-leg match against Newcastle.

The Spanish midfielder shared his thoughts on the return match: "We played very poorly in the first half of the game in Baku, in a way that didn't suit us. The second half was much better compared to the first. I wish we had fought in the first half as we did in the second. But everyone knows the level of this competition. We must forget that game now and focus on the return leg."

Montiel also emphasized that he feels good at Qarabağ:

"Since coming here, I have given several interviews to the Spanish media. I have always said that I am happy to be here. We are expected to do our best for the team. My teammates and I are trying to give our all."

The Newcastle – Qarabağ match, which will take place on the night of February 24-25 at St. James' Park, will kick off at 00:00 Baku time. The English club won the first leg with a score of 6-1.
