Azerbaijani champions Qarabag will begin their journey in the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League from the second qualifying round, rather than the first as initially expected.
According to Offsideplus.az, this change comes after Paris Saint-Germain secured a place in the final of the current Champions League campaign. PSG's advancement triggered an adjustment in the access list for next season’s tournament.
Along with Qarabag, Slovak champions Slovan Bratislava will also enter the competition at the second qualifying stage.
Qarabag's opponent will be determined during the draw on June 18. The matches of the second qualifying round are scheduled for July 22–23 (first leg) and July 29–30 (second leg).
This updated entry point gives Qarabag a slightly smoother path toward the group stage, bypassing the first round of qualifiers in Europe’s most prestigious club competition.
