"Adaptation takes a certain amount of time," said Jordan Perkins, the new signing of LANDAU Lions, in a statement to Offsideplus.az.

The American basketball player shared his thoughts about his new team: "For the first time in my professional career, I am not starting in the main lineup, and my role will be different. However, this is a great experience for me. I believe that playing alongside another strong playmaker will benefit me immensely in the long run, and I will learn a lot. My personal goal is to be among the league leaders in assists and to be selected for the all-season team. As a team, our goal is to win the championship."

Perkins also shared his views on Azerbaijani basketball: "Azerbaijani basketball continues to develop, and young players are constantly improving, which is very gratifying for the country. I am especially pleased to witness this player development firsthand. Baku is a beautiful city with many interesting places to see. Honestly, I don't have a specific favorite spot and don't know many names yet, but during my time in Azerbaijan, I have seen many beautiful buildings and scenery."

The 27-year-old point guard was the assist leader in the Azerbaijan Basketball League during the 2024/2025 season while playing for Nakhchivan.
