"We fought with confidence despite not playing our best basketball".

Offsideplus.az reports that Serhedchi head coach Anar Sariyev made these remarks following the match against Ordu.

The coach commented on the game's performance:

"Even though we couldn't showcase our best basketball today, we fought with great confidence. We stayed in the game until the very end and secured crucial rebounds on defense. However, we struggled to convert our chances under the basket on offense."

Sariyev also touched upon the opponent's situation:

"Ordu is currently in first place; they are the league leaders and have already secured their spot in the playoffs. For this reason, it wasn't a critical game for them. We needed the victory much more. They weren't fully motivated, whereas we remained competitive despite our struggles. Staying focused and not drifting away from the game eventually brought us the win."

It should be noted that Serhedchi defeated Ordu 70-67 in Round XVIII of the Azerbaijan Basketball League.
