UEFA stadium inspector Scott Struthers, Director of the AFFA Infrastructure Department Fuad Jafarov, and Head of the Football Infrastructure Projects Department Sabir Ismayilov, alongside representatives from Turan Tovuz, have inspected Tovuz City Stadium.

Offsideplus.az reports that the press service of the Tovuz outfit released information about this. During the inspection, which lasted more than four hours, key points regarding the stadium's alignment with UEFA Category 2 requirements were discussed. Consecutively, the necessary conditions, as well as tasks and recommendations required for the stadium to obtain this category, were brought to the attention of the club management.

During a subsequent meeting, an extensive exchange of views took place regarding the work to be done to ensure the stadium fully meets international standards. The reconstruction and upgrade works currently being carried out at the stadium were positively evaluated.
