A football festival for girls aged 8-10 has been held in Lankaran as part of the "FIFA Women's Development Programme," organized by AFFA with the support of FIFA.

Offsideplus.az reports, citing the official website of the national association, that 63 girls participated in the event held at the Lankaran Olympic Sports Complex.

The program featured simple football drills, relay races, and fun activities designed for the participants. Coaches demonstrated basic ball-handling skills, and a photo zone was set up with national team players, giving the girls a chance to both enjoy themselves and improve their football abilities.

The event was attended by Orhan Hasanov, Advisor to the General Secretary of AFFA; Zumrud Aghayeva, Head of the Women's Football Department; association officials; and coaches and players from the women's national teams. National team member Madina Jurugova was selected as the youth ambassador for the festival. Participants were provided with sportswear, balls, and jackets by AFFA.

Such festivals are planned to continue in the future. The primary goal of the project is to promote a healthy lifestyle among girls, increase interest in football, and prepare them for future involvement in leagues and national teams.
