AFFA President Rovshan Najaf congratulated Qarabag FK head coach Gurban Gurbanov on the team's achievements in the UEFA Champions League this season, emphasizing that these results contribute to enhancing the international prestige of Azerbaijani football.

According to Offsideplus.az, the meeting’s agenda followed the opening remarks. First, the AFFA budget for 2026 was discussed and officially approved.

AFFA General Secretary Jahangir Farajullayev provided detailed information regarding the status of the Reserve League for the 2026/2027 season. Following proposals from Executive Committee members, it was decided that obtaining the opinion of the Clubs Committee would be appropriate for a final decision.

Deputy General Secretary Elchin Mammadov presented a report on on-site analyses conducted at the academies of Misli Premier League clubs.

The meeting also saw the approval of the new composition of the Referees Committee. According to the decision, Asim Khudiyev, Shahin Jafarov, and Elchin Samadli were appointed as new members of the committee. Additionally, a new bonus system for Misli Premier League referees was introduced. The system, aimed at incentivizing referees and improving the quality of officiating, was approved by vote.

It was decided that the next AFFA Congress will be held on April 3, 2026.

The committee accepted the resignation of Tural Eyvazov, Chairman of the Players' Status and Transfer Committee, at his own request. Sarkhan Ibadov was elected as the new chairman of the committee.

Finally, the hosting agreement for the FIFA U-20 World Cup, to be held in Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan in 2027, was officially ratified.
