"As the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation, this is the first time we are hosting such a major event in Azerbaijan. International sports competitions are always successfully organized in our country. Taking this example into account, we aim to hold the World Championship in a manner worthy of our nation."

According to Offsideplus.az, these were the words of the Executive Vice President of the Azerbaijan Minifootball Federation (AMF), Taleh Nasibov, at a press conference dedicated to the upcoming Minifootball World Championship, which will be held in Baku from May 21 to June 1.

The AMF official stated that the opening ceremony will be exciting:
"After our national team became European champions in 2022, we began to take even more significant steps. We held meetings in the United Arab Emirates and proposed the idea of hosting the Minifootball World Championship. We started negotiations and took the necessary steps. We invited officials from the International Minifootball Federation to Baku and showed them the arenas. As a result, the decision was made to host the World Championship in Baku. Although there are organizational challenges, we are doing our best to handle everything professionally. The mirror of any international competition is its opening ceremony. Fans can expect an exciting show."

He expressed his hope that the Azerbaijani national team will win a medal:
"We have provided every facility for the national team — nutrition, training camps, and participation in international tournaments. Being the host nation adds extra responsibility to our team. If the championship were held abroad, we wouldn't have this many fans supporting us. Our national team has been playing together for a long time. As hosts, we would like the championship trophy to remain here. At the very least, we aim to finish in the top three."
