Interview with the captain of the Azerbaijani women's national team Sevinj Jafarzadeh to Offsideplus.az after the victory in Lithuania (0:2).

- Sevinj, congratulations on the victory. How important was this victory for you?

- This victory was very important for us, because we improved our place in the tournament table and equalized our points with Montenegro (ed. - 4 points). All we needed was a victory. Thank God we won. We achieved this thanks to a determined game. But the work is not over, in 3 days we have a difficult away game against the Montenegrin team. The favorable result we will get there can help us strengthen our place in the group. We will do everything we can for a good result. Both games are away games, although there are certain difficulties, but we are trying to overcome them.

- How is the situation in the team before the match with Montenegro?

- We will prepare very seriously for the match with Montenegro. Although we have certain losses in our team. Kristina Bakaradze and Pelitan Bozdag from the main squad are missing the games for certain reasons. Pelitan cannot participate in this game, and Kristina cannot participate in games at all, she has a very serious knee injury. Although this upsets us, we were also fighting for Kristina to make her smile. I think this was one of the best motivations for her. From another perspective, we are very happy that we were able to make our people and the football community happy. We are very happy that we were able to make people happy with our successes.

- For the first time, the 12th player of the Azerbaijani national team came to the game of our "Milli Deste" women's team. How was the support of the fans?

- I would like to thank the fans here through you. They supported us until the end, they trusted us. Their support was incredible, especially in a foreign country. It made me feel proud to see our own citizens supporting us abroad. They came from other European countries, thank you. They also had a share in this victory.

- After the game, you celebrated the victory with the fans...

- What happened here was amazing. Seeing the citizens of your country in a foreign land, making them smile, making them happy with your victory and sharing this victory with them was a completely different experience. In the end, we were able to make our people happy. We made our relatives and families happy who were happy for us. As I said, the work is not over. If we can get a favorable result in the difficult away game against Montenegro, a lot can be solved in Montenegro in terms of our becoming the group leader. Even though we have players who have reached the yellow card limit or are injured in this game, we will try to overcome this difficulty despite the losses. I think we will succeed.
