As part of the fifth round of the Misli Premier League, a minute of silence will be observed before the match between Kəpəz and Qəbələ on September 12, in connection with the passing of Azerbaijan's veteran footballer Mehman Hajiyev.

According to Offsideplus.az, the Professional Football League (PFL) has positively responded to Kəpəz's management's request to hold a memorial ceremony before the match, which will take place at Ganja City Stadium.

It is worth noting that M. Hajiyev was a two-time Azerbaijani champion with Kəpəz and won the country’s cup. He served as the head coach of Kəpəz's reserve team from 2010 to 2013 and worked as a coach for the main team during the 2013/14 season.

He passed away on September 6 at the age of 52.
