The Professional Football League has executed payments to the clubs.
Offsideplus.az reports that the PFL made the payments to the clubs as part of a new incentive mechanism applied for the first time in Azerbaijani football.
According to the decision of the AFFA Executive Committee, the bonus fund—formed by the registration fees paid for foreign players on the squads of clubs competing in the Misli Premier League—was distributed among the Premier League sides. The distribution was calculated based on the minutes played by local footballers.
Throughout the season, the Professional Football League conducted the relevant calculations, analyzed all indicators, and determined the final results in accordance with the criteria approved by the AFFA Executive Committee. According to the Executive Committee's decision, although the bonus fund was initially projected at a minimum of 1 million manats, the Professional Football League transferred a total of 2,610,000 manats to the accounts of the clubs. Gabala finished at the top of the final distribution list. As previously announced, the club also received a special bonus of 50,000 manats in addition to its calculated amount. The amounts transferred to the clubs and all the details of the distribution are reflected in the provided table. The Professional Football League hopes that this newly introduced incentive mechanism will make a significant contribution to strengthening the financial sustainability of the clubs, shaping their budgets for the next season, stimulating the development of local players, and ensuring the sustainable growth of Azerbaijani football.
