The "Villarreal CF Camp Baku" project has been launched at the Bayil Stadium, initiated by "QOLAT Sport Service" in partnership with the Baku Football Federation (BFF) and supported by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA).
According to Offsideplus.az, the project, taking place from August 7 to 9, will involve 40 to 45 footballers from the U-8 to U-18 age categories. Among them, 10 talented youngsters selected from the "Stars of Tomorrow" tournament will participate free of charge. The best player selected at the end of the training camp will earn the right to participate in an international tournament organised by Villarreal, with all expenses covered by the organisers.
As part of the project, a free seminar on the Spanish football system and academy methodology for local coaches will be held on August 9. The seminar will feature UEFA Pro licensed coach Jordi Qratakos sharing his experience.
It is noteworthy that representatives from Villarreal have already met with BFF President Tahir Suleymanov, "Qolat" head Said Bagirov, and Alpex company President Serdar Salmanzade in Baku, after which selection training sessions commenced.
