The new format for the 2026/2027 season of the Regional Leagues has been presented at the AFFA.

According to Offsideplus.az, the event was attended by Secretary General Cahangir Farajullayev, association officials, and presidents of regional federations, where the tournament regulations, team groupings, and schedule were showcased.

Cahangir Farajullayev emphasised that increasing the popularity of football in the regions is one of AFFA's priority goals.

The meeting also discussed issues related to infrastructure, refereeing, and club registrations.

AFFA officials stated that a relevant action plan will be developed to address these challenges and strengthen the material and technical base.
