Timoteusz Puchacz, the defender for Sabah and winner of the 2025-26 Azerbaijan Cup, gave an interview to Offsideplus.az following the award ceremony.

How do you feel about the team's journey this season?

Since the day I arrived here, we have improved every single day. After every training session and every match, we grew more confident and started playing better football. By the end of the season, we were clearly the best team. We defeated everyone. I am very happy and very proud of that.

What can you say about your own performance this season? Do you consider yourself the best in your position? 

Yes, I am the best left-back this season. I have the most assists—the statistics don't lie. I won everything, and I had the best numbers. So yes, this season, I was the best.

What can we expect from Sabah next season?

I hope we can keep the squad together and that not many players leave. We have a very good team right now, and it is important to maintain that. If we keep this squad, next season will also be very successful for us.

Do you have a message for the Azerbaijani fans? 

I love Baku! Yes, I love Baku. Thank you very much!
