AFFA, CBC Sport, and Idman TV have issued a joint statement regarding the broadcasting of domestic football.

According to Offsideplus.az, the statement reads: “As the supreme governing body of football in the country, the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has always prioritized increasing the popularity of football, bringing the world's number one sport to a wider audience, and enhancing broadcast quality. In this regard, the national championship has consistently remained at the center of attention.

To expand the broadcasting reach of the Misli Premier League, AFFA has held discussions with the management of the tournament’s exclusive broadcaster, CBC Sport, and the country's first sports channel, Idman TV. As a result of these negotiations, it has been decided that starting this season, one match from each round of the Misli Premier League will be broadcast live on Idman TV in parallel with CBC Sport.

The first broadcast under this new partnership is scheduled to be the Qarabag vs. Sabah match in Round 22. AFFA leadership highly values the successful conclusion of these talks and the sensitive approach shown by both channels. We express our gratitude to our partners and wish them success in their future endeavors.

Technical details regarding the organization of the broadcasts and the regulation of the overall process will be handled by the television channels based on mutual agreement. We once again express our gratitude to the management of CBC Sport and Idman TV for their attention and care toward Azerbaijani football!”
