The qualifying races for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix have ended.

Offsideplus.az reports that the last session was quite interesting and there were some surprising results.

First, Charles Leclerc, and then the championship leader Oscar Piastre entered the barriers.

In the end, the pole position went to Red Bull driver Max Verstappen.

2nd place was taken by Carlos Sainz from Williams, and 3rd place was taken by Liam Lawson.

Mercedes drivers Kimi Antonelli and George Russell took 4th and 5th places, respectively.

One of the favorites, Lando Norris, managed to finish only 7th.
