Sabah BC has officialized the appointment of their new head coach.

According to Offsideplus.az, the capital club has signed a 3-year contract with Serbian specialist Lazar Spasic.

Born in 1992, the tactician began his coaching career in 2013 as an assistant coach at Serbian club Mladost Zemun. Working independently as a head coach since 2016, Spasic has managed Rtanj, Zdravlje Leskovac, and Vrsac in his home country.

The young specialist made history with Vrsac by winning the gold medals of the Serbian Basketball League in the 2024/2025 season. Known for his disciplined tactical systems and ability to develop young players, the Serbian strategist most recently led Bundesliga representative EWE Baskets Oldenburg.

The assistant coaches for the new head coach at Sabah have also been confirmed. Anatoliy Boisa and Sasa Milicevic will serve as assistants in his staff, while Vlade Draskovic will take on the role of fitness coach.
