"I am sure I have torn a muscle," said Sevinc Jafarzada, captain of the Azerbaijan national team, in an interview with Offsideplus.az.

The footballer, who currently plays for Super League club Yuksekova, spoke about her injury:

"I feel I have sustained a serious injury. During warm-up, I struck the ball into the top corner, and at that moment, my muscle went. I went into the game with an injection, but it had no effect. The pain was unbearable, and I couldn't continue."

Jafarzada mentioned that she would know the exact results a few days later:

"Once the swelling goes down, I will go for an MRI. It will show how many centimetres the tear is. The worst part is that the injury starts from the groin area and extends to the quadriceps. It is in a very bad place. I felt as if the muscle had slipped from inside. At that moment, I realised it had torn or ruptured."

It is worth noting that Sevinc Jafarzada was injured during the match between Beşiktaş and Yuksekova yesterday.
