FIFA referee Tural Gurbanov has received his first-ever appointment as a head referee for an international match.

Offsideplus.az reports via the AFFA official website that the Azerbaijani official will lead the refereeing team for the Netherlands – Belarus fixture. The match will take place on March 31 as part of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualifying round II.

Gurbanov will be assisted by fellow countryman Asiman Azizli and Aleksandar Gjurkovski from North Macedonia. Vlatko Ilioski (North Macedonia) will serve as the fourth official. The Group B7 match will be held at the Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya, Turkiye.

It should be noted that Tural Gurbanov previously served as the fourth official during the Kosovo – Netherlands (0:1) match held on March 25.
