The Azerbaijan U-21 national football team earned a draw in their away match against Bulgaria in the European Championship qualifying round.

Offsideplus.az reports that following the match, U-21 head coach Rashad Eyyubov spoke to the AFFA press service, positively evaluating the team's performance. The specialist commented on the goalless draw as follows:

"We were the more active side on the pitch today. The players clearly demonstrated their strength and potential. It is heartening that the boys were not intimidated by the opponent or the atmosphere in the stadium. We performed very well in the first half, and ball possession was mainly in our favor. After the break, the opponent's pressure increased, which is natural. I believe a draw is a fair result. Both teams had dangerous chances. Overall, I saw positive aspects in my team's performance. With such a foundation, we can look to the future with optimism."

It should be noted that the Azerbaijan U-21 team will face its next test in the group on September 25. Our team will host the Czech Republic national team on home soil.
