Neftchi has secured its 550th victory in the top tier of Azerbaijani football.

Offsideplus.az reports that this milestone coincided with the Baku club's 1000th match in the championship. The White-Blacks reached this landmark by defeating Gabala 3-0 away in Round 6 of the Misli Premier League.

Following Qarabag, Neftchi becomes only the second team in league history to reach 550 or more victories. The capital side has registered 301 of these wins at home, 242 away, and 7 on neutral ground.

It is worth noting that Neftchi recorded its first top-flight victory on May 8, 1992, with a 1-0 home win against Khazar Sumgait.
