Tomorrow, the international youth boxing tournament Heydar Aliyev Cup 2025 will officially kick off, featuring competitions among young male and female boxers.

According to Offsideplus.az, the traditional event will take place at the Baku Boxing Center and will feature national teams from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Russia, Belarus, Türkiye, and Georgia.

More than 200 boxers are expected to participate in the tournament. Champions will be determined in 14 weight categories for boys and 9 for girls.

The final bouts of the Heydar Aliyev Cup 2025 will be held on May 21.

The Azerbaijan national team will compete with a large roster. Head coach Vagif Kazimov is set to test 60 young boxers during the tournament.

The event’s supervisor will be Igor Biletski (Ukraine), and the head referee will be Anar Babanli.
