Another Azerbaijani athlete won a bronze medal at the European Judo Championship in Podgorica.

Offsideplus.az reports that Rashid Mammadaliyev, who competed in the 73 kg weight category, won the "bronze" by defeating Hungarian athlete Daniel Szegedi for third place. This was the 2nd bronze medal for our judo team at the European Championships, and earlier Ahmad Yusifov had climbed to the third step of the honorary podium.

Today, one of our female judokas, Fidan Alizadeh (57 kilograms), defeated Anastasia Sokiryanskaya (Latvia) in the 1/16 finals, but lost to Benta Ndiaye (Switzerland) in the 1/8 finals and said goodbye to the tournament.

It should be noted that our other representatives who tried their hand yesterday, Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg), Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) and Gultaj Mammadaliyeva (52 kg), were left empty-handed.
