Aris head coach Marinos Uzunidis attended a press conference in Baku ahead of the UEFA Conference League II qualifying round match against Araz-Nakhchivan.
Offsideplus.az reports that the 56-year-old specialist shared his thoughts on the game:
"This is not my first time in Baku. I played against Gabala in 2017. The team must be ready for the game from the first minutes. It will be a difficult game for us. We will do our best to get a good result in the first game and qualify for the next round. Tomorrow's squad is almost determined, I have talked to several players. Not everyone will play 90 minutes, but I will ask each player to show 100% of his strength."
M. Uzunidis, who came to Baku as the head coach of "Panantinaikos" in 2017, spoke about the changes in Azerbaijani football since then:
We have watched "Qarabag" and "Neftchi". Every year the level of the clubs increases. Compared to 15-20 years, there are quite a few transfers, we can also take an example from "Araz-Nakhchivan" where players transfer. This shows that teams do not stand still, they develop".
Midfielder Fredrik Jensen of the Greek representative assessed tomorrow's game:
"Yesterday was a difficult day. Today we will train. An interesting game awaits us, we will analyze it. First of all, I hope we will win. It will be a difficult game. Together we want to leave tomorrow's game with a positive result. The team's form is good, we have both old and new players. We have to fight in tomorrow's game and in the following matches".
