Nakhchivan BK player Dom Keyes gave an interview to Offsideplus.az after a game against Sumgayit BK (99:116).
Here is the interview:
– How was the game?
- The first half was tough. They were hitting everything they took, but our focus was to stay together. We switched up our defensive concepts to try and limit their touches and take them away from their comfort spots. It was still difficult, but we locked in defensively, stayed connected, and got it done in the end.
– You scored 31 points. What was behind that performance?
- Honestly, that was my teammates getting me involved and finding me when I was open. I couldn’t have done it without them. All credit goes to my team.
– What does Nakhchivan want to achieve this year?
- I think we have a real chance at getting to number one. Yes, we’ve lost twice to the top team, but we’ll see them two more times. As long as we keep improving and tightening things up, we’ll be ready next time.
– What would you like to say to group A teams?
- Hope we get to play you guys one day. And if we do—good luck, because we’re coming.
