These words were spoken by veteran footballer and former head coach of "Kəpəz" and "Səbail," Mahmud Qurbanov, in an interview with Offsideplus.az.

The experienced specialist evaluated the teams competing for the Azerbaijan Cup individually. Speaking first about the "Neftçi" vs. "Sabah" clash, he said:
"Both teams are struggling in the Premier League and have no chance of qualifying for European competitions through the league. That is why both 'Neftçi' and 'Sabah' aim to reach the cup final and secure a spot in the UEFA Europa League by winning the trophy. However, only one team will advance to the next stage. It is difficult to say which team will make it to the final."

Qurbanov also shared his thoughts on the "Qarabağ" vs. "Araz-Nakhchivan" match, expecting an intense battle:
"Although 'Qarabağ' is leading the Premier League, their chances against 'Araz-Nakhchivan' in the cup semifinal are equal. 'Qarabağ' will likely secure the league title soon. However, 'Araz-Nakhchivan' should not be underestimated. This team has a good chance of finishing at least third in the league and qualifying for European competitions. At the same time, they will not give up on the cup. I believe there is no clear favorite in this matchup either. We are in for an intense and exciting game."

It should be noted that the first legs of the Azerbaijan Cup semifinals will take place today. "Araz-Nakhchivan" vs. "Qarabağ" will kick off at 17:00, while "Neftçi" and "Sabah" will face off at 19:30.
