Azerbaijan's FIFA referee Farida Lutfaliyeva and her assistant Gulnura Akbarzadeh have become part of a historic match.
According to Offsideplus.az, the Azerbaijani female referees officiated a remarkable game in the UEFA Women's U-19 Championship Qualifiers, Group II of League B. The match between the Faroe Islands and Moldova recorded an unprecedented scoreline.
Held in the city of Nisporeni, Moldova, the encounter ended with a resounding 7-0 victory for the Faroe Islands. This result marks the biggest win in the history of the Faroe Islands' U-19 team. Interestingly, their previous record victory was also against Moldova (4-0) back in 2007, when they first participated in international competitions.
The Azerbaijani referees will remain in Moldova until April 7. Farida Lutfaliyeva will serve as the fourth official in the Estonia vs. Moldova match on April 4 and as the main referee for the Moldova vs. Cyprus game on April 7. Meanwhile, Gulnura Akbarzadeh will continue as an assistant referee in both matches.
