The head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Fernando Santos, did not want to talk about the star of world football, Cristiano Ronaldo, under whom he once played in the Portuguese national team.
Offsideplus.az reports that the 70-year-old specialist evaded the question about this at a press conference dedicated to the friendly match between Azerbaijan and Hungary today.
"I do not want to talk about Cristiano Ronaldo. He is not an Azerbaijani footballer. Cristiano is a great Portuguese player and our good friend," F. Santos emphasized.
It should be noted that the Portuguese national team, which won the UEFA Nations League yesterday, achieved its first such success in 2018 under the leadership of Fernando Santos. He coached the national team from 2014 to 2022.
