"Turan Tovuz is a solid team".

According to Offsideplus.az, Gurban Gurbanov, the head coach of Qarabağ, shared his thoughts following the match against the Tovuz representatives:

"My players showed great character despite the fatigue. It's not easy to find your rhythm in matches like this. Every pause and free kick played to the opponent's advantage. We were coming off a long trip and were tired, but I told the players they had to be ready for this game. Besides, it was a necessary win."

The experienced specialist also commented on Newcastle, their upcoming opponent in the Champions League, and English football in general:

"You probably watched yesterday’s match (Liverpool vs. Newcastle). In the first half, the game barely stopped twice. Football there is on a different level. It feels like they play the final minutes specifically for the fans."

Gurbanov also addressed the controversial incident involving his former player, Ibrahima Wadji:

"I don’t believe it was a red card. Red cards shouldn't be given so easily. Football is a game of struggle. A red should be reserved for 100% clear-cut incidents, but in Wadji's case, I don't think it was necessary."

Regarding the potential postponement of the upcoming match against Neftchi, he stated:

"It is in the plans, but it will be finalized in the coming days. It’s a long trip and there is very little time between matches."
