The opening day of the FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup qualification tournament has concluded in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo.

Offsideplus.az reports that both the Azerbaijani men's and women's national teams secured their spots in the semifinals following the group stage matches.

Men's National Team Results:

For context, the men's national team, coached by Zaur Pashayev, traveled to this tournament with a young roster for the first time: Nijat Nasirov (21 years old), Rashid Abbasov (22 years old), Alibay Mammadli (21 years old), and Nazar Guliyev (24 years old). This tournament marks the first major event in the 3x3 basketball careers of these young players. Despite it being their debut experience, the team advanced to the semifinals as the runners-up of their group.

Meanwhile, the women's national team is competing with only three players: Arika Carter, Tatyana Deniskina, and Alexandra Mollenhauer. Despite playing without any substitutions, the team qualified for the semifinals as group leaders.

In the semifinals, the men's team will face Cyprus at 19:00 Baku time, while the women's team will take on Kosovo at 18:00 Baku time.
