Two Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestlers have won medals at the U-20 World Championship held in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.
Offsideplus.az reports that Tural Ahmadov (63 kg) gave no chance to Finland's Matias Arpiaynen in the repechage match - 8:0. In the evening session, the athlete defeated Ecuador's Clisman Velis by a narrow margin (2:1) to claim the bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Javidan Nehmatov (77 kg) faced Armenia's Samvel Terteryan in the final. Losing to his opponent based on the criteria of the first scored point (1:1), the wrestler had to settle for the silver medal.
