To ensure the safe and organised conduct of the international Alufar IRONMAN 70.3 Baku event taking place in Baku, temporary traffic restrictions will be implemented on certain streets and avenues of the city on September 4 and 5.

According to Offsideplus.az, the restrictions will be phased in starting from 21:00 on September 4 and will continue until 16:00 on September 5.

One lane will be designated for vehicles coming from the opposite direction on the Baku–Alat–Ganja–Georgia state highway (M2) from the Heydar Aliyev Deep Water Port junction, beginning at the 25th kilometre, to facilitate traffic flow.

Additionally, one lane will be allocated for general use vehicles towards the Lokbatan circle.

Traffic restrictions will be applied on the Baku–Alat (M3) highway from the 14th kilometre towards the city centre, up to the roundabout in front of the "Sheraton Baku Intourist" hotel.

Drivers will have the option to use the Baku–Alat (M3) highway from Lokbatan to Bayil as an alternative route.

The restrictions will be in place during the preparatory phase before the event from 21:00 on September 4 to 04:59 on September 5, and during the main phase of the event from 05:00 to 14:30.

After the event concludes, traffic restrictions will continue from 14:30 to 16:00 on September 5 to allow for cleaning and restoration work in the area.

Drivers and other road users are advised to plan their movements in advance on the specified dates, taking into account potential congestion in the mentioned directions and to use alternative routes.

It is noted that more than 1,500 participants from 62 countries are expected to take part in the "Alufar IRONMAN 70.3 Baku" event on September 5.
