Edgaras Yankauskas has parted ways with the Lithuania national team by mutual consent.

According to Offsideplus.az, this was announced by the country's football federation.

The 51-year-old's resignation comes after the team suffered a 0-1 defeat to Azerbaijan in Baku.

It is worth noting that in their first UEFA Nations League match held in Kaunas, the teams had previously drawn 1-1.

Yankauskas had been in charge since January 2023, during which Lithuania played 38 matches, winning 7 and losing 20.
