Preparations for the first FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival, set to take place in Baku, are nearing completion.

According to Offsideplus.az, the prestigious tournament, scheduled for October 22-30, is expected to see the participation of nearly 4,000 young footballers, coaches, and officials from around 190 countries.

The vast majority of the nearly 1,000 matches will be held at the 10 football pitches of the newly constructed Hovsan Sports Complex. The opening and final matches of the tournament will take place at the Baku Crystal Hall.

A few days ago, FIFA President Gianni Infantino praised the infrastructure and the work being done in Hovsan during his visit to Baku.

It is worth noting that the tournament is being organised in accordance with a relevant decree from President Ilham Aliyev.
