Azerbaijani footballer Can Hajiyev has signed a contract with Galatasaray.

According to Offsideplus.az, the 17-year-old will play for the Istanbul club's youth team (U-19) for the next two seasons.

Hajiyev spent last season with the youth team of Switzerland's Sion.

Standing at 1.87 metres tall, the young footballer is capable of playing both as a right-back and a central defender.

The football federations of Turkey and Kazakhstan are interested in calling him up to their national teams.
