The Azerbaijan U-21 team is set to host Gibraltar in the qualifying round of the European Championship.

– How is the preparation process going?

– We had 4-5 days after the game against Scotland. We are ready for the match both physically and mentally.

– What is the atmosphere like within the team?

– It is very good. Although the defeat affected us negatively, we have managed to find the right motivation for the boys.

– Does Edgar Adilkhanov's return to the U-21 squad strengthen your team?

– Of course. He is one of our best players. We are glad to have him with us.

– How do you assess Oruc Mammadov's performance in the A team?

– I liked it a lot. It was his first game, and he performed well.

– We didn't start too badly against Scotland; we even scored. What happened between the 22nd and 28th minutes?

– You are correct. During those minutes, we lost concentration. Apart from those 7 minutes, we controlled the game.

– Does defeating Gibraltar away provide additional motivation for the team?

– There is no need for additional motivation in the national team.
