The Lithuania national team lost 1-0 to the Azerbaijan national team in the UEFA Nations League Division D.

Edgaras Yankauskas attended the post-match press conference, where he commented on the match:

"It was a real battle. We saw a game between two equally matched teams. Unfortunately, we couldn't score. The Azerbaijan national team played very well. Congratulations on the victory. This was a new game. We were focused for the match. We had no problem with ball possession. It was a true men's battle. Both sides did their best."

Regarding their chances in the group and the cancellation of a red card, the coach said:

"Mathematically, we have a chance to finish first, but that is not in our hands. VAR decisions went against us; we did not receive any sympathy. VAR did not make decisions in our favour today."

On his meeting with Valdas Dambrauskas:
